TIME WILL NOT EVOLVE

Time Will Not Evolve is a sculpture made for Trimatra Salihara Competition.

Responding to the "Speed/Laju" theme from the competition, Niko take inspiration from mangrove seed (Rhizophora Mucronata). The uniqueness of the process of the seed, especially the time series of a growing seed until it reaches the height of the sky reminds us about time. Plants cannot do or even think about "shortcut" to grow itself. Its just human which is create a shortcut by making some innovation. After all, it's not bad. But sometimes we humans didn't realize about every impact we could do to the earth, we going to fast. To fast to growing our civilization and life, and forget to balancing it with nature (natural resources, etc). 

The question is, shall we go fast? leaving all the living thing and ecosystem which is growing not so fast like us. What can we do? because time will not evolve. There is nothing like "shortcut" in nature. A tree is growing honestly just in time.
