ARTESFER
Artesfer is an art exhibition based on a research about “Danau Bandung purba” or Bandung prehistoric lake. The research itself collaborate with T. Bachtiar , (a senior geographer and a member of Bandung basin research group), also “725 project” which is include Gelar T.K , Angga Resdiana from Jantera (a geography student association for environmental and adventure activity) and Ackay Deni.
The team visited important places which have a connection with Bandung Prehistoric lake such as Sanghyang Tikoro, Sanghyang Poek, Curug Jompong, Cukang Rahong, and the lowest poin of Bandung (Dayeuh Kolot).
During his visit, Niko had an insight about how geography could perhaps indirectly influence human. He also investigated and learnt further about geomorphology in Sanghyang Poek. Hence, he created the “Pothole” project.
Installation work “Act of Destruction in Form of Creation” was another work of Niko, where visitor can make their own abstract form similar to a rock shape. This participatory project contains narration and issues about the damaging landscape associated with the creation of Bandung as a lake before human inhabited it.
